Artist Statement
I am a mosaicist whose work is inspired by nature. My love of nature stems from growing up on a dairy farm in the Midwest where I spent hours exploring the local woodland and ponds
· I choose designs that mimic what I observe. Trees, fish and insects are my favorite subjects. I create large and small pieces for walls or windows, in addition to whimsical pieces for children’s rooms.

I’m back home.
I see the old swing hanging from my favorite tree.
Is it sad?
Does it miss me?
I sit on the swing.
It feels small.
I slowly move back and forth.
I feel the gentle breeze on my face.
I smell the grass.
I am at peace.
I feel warm inside.
I love this place.
This is home.
